Baby massage classes and play dates for mamas and babies
Step out of the house and into a welcoming, supportive space where we learn, play and grow together.
Every mother’s village looks different and support can come from many places. We support mamas with learning baby massage, an ancient art and practice that helps parents become attuned to their baby’s cues and non-verbal communication. Our approach is guided by research that highlights the importance of group activities and affective touch for emotional wellbeing and social bonding.
The experience
It’s an opportunity to meet other mamas and babies in a similar phase of motherhood. If mamas prefer to use the time to quietly connect with their baby, we support that too! We’ve been there. Some days are so hard!
A welcoming space is ready when you are.

From six weeks to pre-crawling age. Most importantly, when you and your baby feel ready during that period! You can continue to massage your baby well beyond pre-crawling age. We focus on helping mothers establish beautiful, relaxing baby massage rituals in the early days of motherhood.
-
Definitely not and every mother and baby is welcome! We’ll support you through each class and take breaks as you need.
-
Cold pressed organic apricot kernel oil is provided for use during class. You’re welcome to bring your own massage oil. Read our guide on appropriate oils.
-
The ‘quiet alert’ state is the best time to massage your baby. It’s important to know there are times when you shouldn’t massage your baby, like when they’re asleep. We’ll talk about that and other safety considerations in class.
-
We encourage you to care for your baby as you would at home, without leaving the class. You’re welcome to step out of the room if that’s more comfortable for you though. Babies will be babies during class and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We fully expect tears and nappy changes. We have a spare baby massage demonstration doll for you to use (if you want to) if your baby falls asleep during class.
-
Bring water to stay hydrated during class. If you need to eat, you’ll have time before and after baby massage to enjoy any snacks you bring. Please be mindful of allergen foods when bringing food to class. We provide mats, towels, oil, hand sanitiser and face cloths to wipe your hands after using oil.
-
You’re welcome to take photos of your own baby before and after the baby massage class. We respectfully all parents to put phones and cameras away during class because it can be overstimulating for babies and we want all parents and babies to get the most out of baby massage. We’ll have a Fuji Instax camera for you to get a photo with your baby after class!
-
Only if you want to. The space is set up to feel safe, supportive and free of any pressure to share a lived experience or contribute something. Any discussions are parent-led and we ask everyone to be respectful if a parent shares a lived experience or personal approach. You’re welcome to use the time to focus on quietly connecting with your baby if that feels best for you on the day.
